As it happens to me, I get XP, but when levelling up if I have maxed with the trainer cannot progress, after the initial training phase are the henchmen and they can go to 102 or 104 points so NPC's can spend points over 100, the player cannot and is therefore stuck so the option to plus/minus will allow to zero out points and level up, I also never get to choose spells when levelled for some reason, so an add spell option would solve that. So when I hit max on the trainer it gives me 100, but when I level up, I get points, cannot spend them and therefore I am locked forever in the levelling process. And the Spells adding option is because whilst the NPC's when levelling get to choose spells, the main character does not in my instance.
